from 360 DEGREES (All Points of the Compass) by Tom Lewis

about

'The Act' in reference, is the (British Parliamentary) Merchant Shipping Act of 1867 required all ships of the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy to provide a daily lime ration, to ward off 'the scurvy'! Yankee sailors poked fun at their 'Limey' cousins ... whilst their teeth were falling out! This is a traditional sea-shanty with a big chorus for you to join.
